The Member representing Ibadan South East Constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande Alabamusa, today hosted councilorship aspirants and some youth stakeholders in Ibadan South East Constituency 1 at his office for a strategic meeting ahead of the forthcoming elections.


The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming local government, governorship and House of Assembly elections, as well as broader strategies aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and ensuring victory across the constituency.


During the meeting, representatives from the various wards assessed the strengths and weaknesses of their respective wards, identifying areas requiring greater mobilisation, engagement and grassroots coordination. The discussions also centred on strategies for reaching more residents and building stronger support ahead of the elections.


Hon. Modiu Alabamusa urged all stakeholders to see the task ahead as a collective responsibility, stressing that victory would require unity, commitment and consistent grassroots engagement.


He encouraged the councilorship aspirants and other party stakeholders to work together, support one another and remain committed to the collective goal of securing victory at all levels of government.


The meeting also witnessed discussions on empowerment initiatives and community-oriented programmes. Some aspirants reaffirmed their commitment to continuing existing empowerment efforts, while others pledged to initiate new programmes that would positively impact residents and further strengthen support for the party and its candidates.


Also present at the meeting was Hon. Julius Damilare Oyewole, Member representing Ibadan South East Constituency 1 in the Oyo State Youth Parliament and Hon. Azeez Kamorudeen Kehinde.


The stakeholders expressed optimism about the prospects of the party in the forthcoming elections and reaffirmed their readiness to work collectively from the Presidential and Senatorial levels to the House of Representatives, Governorship, State House of Assembly and Local Government levels.


The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to unity, grassroots mobilization, empowerment and collective action, as stakeholders prepare for the forthcoming elections in Ibadan South East Local Government and beyond.
